Our trips include: all fishing equipment (rods, reels bait, tackle) and a 30 minute scenic helicopter flight each way. Lunch can also be arranged (additional charge will apply).

Depart from our downtown heliport at Mechanics Bay to Great Barrier Island.
You can use the fishing equipment supplied by Helilink or you are most welcome to bring your own fishing rod & tackle (Please talk to one of our pilots).
The two most common species of fish caught on a Helilink Fishing Charter are Kingfish and Snapper.

The Fly-fishing Odyssey
Enjoy a first class fishing trip for up to four rods. Starting in the far North fishing from quality charter boats in prolific saltfly waters. From there begin rock hopping around Great Barrier Island seeking record kingfish and snapper, then on to the Rangitaiki River system for jet boat and 4 wheel vehicle access to remote back country streams.
If required our long time professional guides can outfit you with the finest equipment. Stay at three of New Zealand's top lodges and enjoy their renowned cuisine and hospitality. All transfers are by helicopter allowing you to enjoy truly magnificent scenery along the way.

The 24 hour Grand Slam
A full on fly fishing challenge! You travel with Helilnk from our Auckland downtown heliport to Turangi. Relax in quality accommodation for an overnight stay. From there we fly you to a secret location where you fish for trout. Then we whisk you to Great Barrier Island where the fighting Kahawai are the target catch. Next stop is the Bay of Islands where you board a top charter boat seeking game fish.
You have 12 hours fishing time per day, 6am to 6pm. All travel is by helicopter and the fees include accommodation, meals and full outfitting with quality equipment.
